About Ahmed
Ahmed immigrated from Alexandria, Egypt in 1981. Both of his parents were professors at the University of Maryland working in Cancer Research. He graduated top of his class with honors in high school. In 1991 he went back to Alexandria, Egypt and attended an 8 year program at the School of Medicine. He then worked as an ER physician for two years before coming back to his home town in Baltimore, MD.
He worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Oncology Department, and then the Kuwait Embassy as the Senior Medical Advisor. His journey with body work started when he had neck pain and was diagnosed with cervical hernia. Being an MD by trade he leaned towards the traditional western medicine approach of pain medications and injections to alleviate the pain. When they failed to alleviate his symptoms he stumbled upon the ancient eastern modalities of bodywork such as massage therapy, cupping, Hijama and orthopedic manipulation. He was impressed with their effectiveness and decided to pursue it further.
He dedicated his life for over 22 years helping patients through massage therapy and soft tissue manipulation. He graduated from PMTI in 2007, he is currently licensed in the State of Maryland and has over 20,000 documented massage therapy sessions since 2007.
Growing up as an athlete and a competitive swimmer he developed an interest in sports massage & stretches and its benefits in muscle recovery.
Ahmed’s knowledge about the body and human anatomy allows him to combine many modalities in the same session. He has served his community and continues to do so with exceptional customer service.
